Consultancy for businesses with complex website requirements

Are you looking for a new website, interested in Joomla, but not sure if it will integrate with your accounting system?

Or perhaps you have thought of an interesting and insightful way to design and sell kitchens online - but don't know much about the technical side, and want to know if, how and who can implement it for you?

Or do you just need someone to confirm to you that OsCommerce is a decent system which will meet your requirements?

We can help.

About us

In 2005, Sensable Media began work on its own ecommerce system, called Stockashop. Stockashop is now a successful and advanced ecommerce and content management system, used happily and successfully by many clients big and small.

As individuals, Sue and Paul each have over 10 years experience designing and developing websites. In that time, we've not only worked on our own Stockashop system, but have also worked with many open source software systems, such as Joomla, Wordpress, Magento, OsCommerce and Jshop, frameworks like Cake, and bespoke websites written by other people. See our CMS article for a longer discussion and review of these systems.

We now offer this knowledge and experience as impartial consultancy. This is particularly valuable for existing, established businesses, who would like to upgrade or enhance their website, but have complicated requirements, or are overwhelmed by the choices and options available.

Or for businesses making their first serious foray into online sales, and need help finding a website company to help. There are so many out there, and they all say they can do it really well and really cheaply - who should you choose?

What we offer

We can offer any or all of the following steps - from a simple reassuring discussion to actually finding the company to build your website.

  1. Face to face meeting to understand your requirements
  2. Research and report on the various options available
  3. Disucssing the findings and writing a specification
  4. Putting the specification out to tender and drawing up a shortlist of 5-10 suitable companies to undertake the work
  5. Presentation of the selected companies and recommendation of 3 companies for interview
  6. Consulting and advice throughout the selection, preparation and project phases

Please note that in order to maintain impartiality, we will not offer ourselves or our own solution as a potential supplier.
